Botox
BOTOX® injections are designed to target specific areas with a tendency to develop wrinkles, such as crow's feet, frown lines, and neck bands.
How Does BOTOX® Work?
During the quick 10-minute procedure, a medical protein called Botulinum A Toxin is injected into the targeted area. After a short time, the BOTOX® temporarily relaxes the facial muscles that cause the wrinkling, thereby creating a softer, more relaxed appearance. Thousands of people report noticeable results and are pleased with the dramatic difference. Although the procedure is temporary, it is safe and very effective.
Are BOTOX® Treatments Safe?
BOTOX® treatments have been used safely and effectively for over ten years to treat many ophthalmological and neurological disorders. Each year thousands of patients receive BOTOX® treatments for a variety of conditions and it is quickly becoming a popular treatment for reversing the visible signs of aging.
Benefits of BOTOX®:
- Remove wrinkles and frown lines without surgery
- Simple in-office procedure performed by our board certified doctor
- Lunchtime appointments take only minutes
- Results noticeable within several hours

Laser Vein Removal
Laser technology offers excellent results in reducing spider veins and facial redness. Our laser delivers precise dosages of energy to each vein, with minimal risk to surrounding the skin. During treatment, light energy is delivered through a special hand piece directly to the targeted vein. This energy is absorbed, causing thermal coagulation of the blood vessel. Over a short period of time the vessel is then absorbed by the body. One treatment is normally sufficient, but multiple treatments may be necessary.
The GentleYAG laser that AZ Laser Clinic utilizes uses a Dynamic Cooling Devise which sprays cryogen onto the skin right before and right after the laser pulses to cool the skin, acting as an anesthetic, providing the ultimate comfort available.
How Long Do Results Last?
Once a vein or vessel has been destroyed, it will not return. However the treatment is not able to stop the development of more veins in the future. Patients who have had laser could see new veins over time, especially those who continue on with unprotected sun exposure. Sunscreen is recommended for everyone, and it can be preventative for people prone to facial veins.
What Are Spider Veins?
Spider veins are small, thin capillaries that lie close to the surface of the skin. They are connected to a larger venous system, though they are not an essential part of it since they do not actually carry blood to the heart. While spider veins and flushed skin don't usually indicate a major medical problem, most people would be happy to be rid of them. Spider veins form when excess blood backs up in the blood stream. The excess blood creates pressure. The body releases the pressure by creating new veins on the skin's surface. The primary problem with spider veins is their unsightly appearance, but they can also cause aching, swelling, burning.
People within certain ethic groups are often more prone to spider veins, so heredity certainly plays a role. So can hormone therapy and oral contraceptives. Aging related to sun damage is also a big contributor. Ultraviolet light exposure is one of the more controllable factors in preventing facial veins, so avoiding the sun and using sunscreen is recommended. Facial veins and flushed skin are also commonly seen with rosacea, a chronic but treatable skin condition.

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a treatment for men and women who don't want to undergo the time, expense, discomfort, longer healing time, and possible side effects of alternative skin resurfacing treatments such as chemical peel, dermabrasion or laser skin resurfacing, and have fairly minor skin problems: fine lines, mild acne, blotches, pigmentation, small scars. It is commonly known as the "lunch time peel" because it takes only minutes to perform and is designed to soften fine wrinkles, smooth scarring and rejuvenate skin by promoting unblemished skin growth.
The best candidates for Microdermabrasion are women and men who have healthy skin and are in good health. One of the biggest advantages is you can return to work or exercise immediately. You should refrain from direct sun exposure for one week before and after each treatment.
How does it work?
The microdermabrasion crystals are passed across the skin using a precision hand piece that directs a stream of very fine, chemically inert crystals and mild suction where needed on the skin. This gently abrasive action exfoliates the outermost layers of the skin. The doctor or technician can control the power of the spray, from a gentle buffing of the skin to deeper exfoliation where needed. The results provide an immediate skin treatment that opens your blood circulation to restore a more youthful appearance.
What results can you expect?
Following the treatment, your skin appears lightly pink, but there is no oozing or obvious redness. Some patients say their face feels as if their skin has been mildly sun- or wind-burned. The skin may peel. In the case of a deeper treatment level for more blemished or thicker skins, the skin will appear slightly red and swollen from a few hours to a few days. Similar to a light peel, the procedure can improve fine lines and wrinkles, blackheads and whiteheads, superficial pigmentation, and give the skin a healthy-looking glow. It may be used in conjunction with chemical peel or laser skin resurfacing.
How many microdermabrasion treatments should I have?
The advantage of this process is that it is not invasive and works in a step-wise fashion. For the best result, it is recommended that you have at least 5 treatments. By initially spacing the treatments 1 week apart for the first 3 treatments then spacing the next 2 treatments every 6 weeks you are able to maximize your results.

RESTYLANE
Restylane is a crystal-clear, non-animal, biodegradable gel based on a natural substance, called hyaluronic acid. The gel is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The result is instantaneous and produces a long-lasting, natural enhancement, gentle and safe to your skin.
Is Restylane effective?
Yes. Clinical studies show that patients who were injected with Restylane for the treatment of facial folds achieved an optimal cosmetic result. These results were sustained for a longer period of time, as much as twice as long, than with collagen.
How does Restylane work?
Restylane works in two ways: Upon injection, into the mid to deep dermis, the NASHA gel adds volume and fullness to smooth facial wrinkles and folds. Restylane integrates into wrinkles and folds. Restylane integrates into dermal tissue, then attracts and binds to water molecules to help maintain volume.
How long does Restylane last?
The average treatment results last six months or even longer.
Is any of the material left in the skin after it’s degraded?
No, unlike permanent fillers, Restylane is completely degraded. Over time, NASHA gel is eliminated by the body, leaving absolutely no trace of the injected material.
